Howard Webb on ‘pivotal moment’ for referees Rebecca Welch & Sam Allison

Head of refereeing Howard Webb says it is a “pivotal moment” as Rebecca Welch becomes the first female referee to take charge of a Premier League match and Sam Allison becomes the first black referee to take charge of a Premier League game since Uriah Rennie retired in 2008.
